3. Spiral. In this device, the strands are placed in a special groove during curling, encircling the curling iron cylinder. The result is elastic coils. The size of the curls is affected by the diameter of the groove and the distance between the turns.
4. Corrugation. Using the nozzles of different sizes included in the kit, you can create wavy small curls. Due to the aggressive effect, the device does not fit thin brittle hair and requires high-quality coating.
5. Triple and double. Such curling irons consist of several parallel cylinders located next to each other. This allows you to create beautiful waved curls in retro style. Such curling irons are classified as professional tools.

Design

Any kind of plate is designed according to the principle of forceps, consists of a handle and a roller with a clamp, inside which there is a heating element. All instrument control functions are located on the handle:

Material

The device for curling is made of different materials. Only high-quality material acts sparingly on the hairline.

1. Durable tourmaline coating is applied on top of ceramic or titanium. This is an expensive option, but it gives a chance to preserve the silkiness and shine of the hair.
2. Ceramic coating provides an even distribution of heat on the surface of the curling iron, which is convenient for creating fast styling. The ionizing effect of the material retains moisture and does not dry out the strands.

Diameter

The thickness of the rod of the device affects the size and shape of the resulting curls. The diameter is selected according to the length and structure of the hair and can vary from 10 mm to 45 mm. For large curls on long hair, the largest size is suitable. For short curls you need to choose a size from 10 to 18 mm. For medium length hairstyles, sizes 19–25 mm are recommended.
