Wireless technology has tightly entered the life of each user, due to its convenience and comfort. Connecting such devices can scare inexperienced users, however, there is nothing complicated in the setup, just follow a simple instruction.
Instructions for connecting a wireless joystick to a PC
There are several types of wireless joysticks. The most common are Bluetooth gamepads. They are divided into two types: with and without a module. The process of switching and setting up such gamepads may vary, so for each of them a separate instruction is presented below.
For a gamepad with a separate module, the connection is as follows:
- Connect the module to the USB connector.
- Turn on the device and wait a while.
- Press the connection button on the device’s case, after which the OS will automatically begin installing the necessary drivers for operation.
- After installation, the device is ready for operation.
If the device does not have additional equipment, then the connection process is as follows:
- Turn on the gamepad.
- Enable Bluetooth connection on the computer.
Reference! To carry out such switching, an internal or external bluetooth module must be installed on the PC. On laptops, it is installed by default. However, Bluetooth technology may not be supported on desktop computers.
- Open the Bluetooth settings and find the desired model.

What problems may arise
There are several main problems that can occur when connecting a gamepad.
- Additional software is not installed. If drivers are not installed when the module is connected, you should install them yourself. To do this, go to the manufacturer’s official website and, choosing the necessary model, download and install the software yourself.
- The gamepad is not displayed. If the computer does not see the device, you should check its performance on other PCs. You should also make sure that you have batteries.
